What speed you need
NAMI picks the highest quality your connection can sustain and drops down the moment it cannot, so a slow line means a softer picture rather than a stopped film. These are the sustained speeds each rendition needs.
| Quality | Sustained speed | Typically used for |
|---|---|---|
| 360p | 1.0 Mbps | Mobile data, tight connections |
| 480p | 2.0 Mbps | Small screens, shared lines |
| 720p | 4.0 Mbps | Laptops and most televisions |
| 1080p | 8.0 Mbps | Full HD on a large screen |
The ceiling also depends on your plan: a mobile plan is capped lower than a household plan, whatever your connection can do.
Signing in on a television
Televisions get an activation code instead of a keyboard. Open NAMI on the TV, then enter the code it shows on a device where you are already signed in.
Activate a TVDevice not working?
Sign the device out from Account → Devices and sign in again — that clears a stale session, which is the usual cause. If it still fails, tell us which device and what it says.
Full terms are in the Terms of Use.
